Success in 12 Months: Your Week of Motivational Self-Talk

This week's motivational exercise involves self-talk: What do you say about yourself to yourself?
This week’s motivational exercise involves self-talk: What do you say about yourself to yourself?

We’re now beginning the last week of Month 2 of your “Success in 12 Months” program! Boy, did this month go by fast (of course it’s February, the shortest month of the year, but I meant besides that! 😉 )!

Over these past few weeks, we focused on motivation, and I gave you some exercises each week to help you stay motivated. So–how are you doing? Are you keeping your motivation up?

Well, here’s another opportunity! This week we’re going to work on practicing motivational exercises:

  • Start each morning with self-talk that motivates you for your day. Think about what you have to do and ask yourself how you can do things more effectively.
  • Remind yourself of your goals and why they are important.
  • End each day with a review of what you accomplished.
  • Review your “wins.” What did you learn that you can use in the future? This review will show you the power you have to face obstacles as they come up and the power you have to find solutions.

And that wraps up our second month! We’ll pick things up next month, with a new topic, bringing you one month closer to your “Success in 12 Months!”

In the meantime, I would love to hear from you about the goals you want to achieve and the action steps you have committed to taking. Share them with me in the comments section below–let’s get a conversation started!

To your success,
James
