Are You Responsible for the Happiness of Others?

“It Is Not My Role to Make Others Happy…,” from the “Money and the Law of Attraction Cards.”

If you were conditioned to be a people-pleaser, like I was, then the message of our card for today, “It Is Not My Role to Make Others Happy…”  is for you: It is not your role to make others happy. Rather, it is your role to keep yourself in balance.

Abraham states, “You cannot get poor enough to help poor people thrive or get sick enough to help sick people get well. You can only uplift from your position of strength and clarity and alignment.”

What I have learned is that, since I can’t control other people, I can’t make them happy. And I if do, that happiness would be conditional, because it is based on something I said or did, and I would have to continue to say that thing or do that thing again and again to maintain that happiness. I would then be responsible–and held liable–for maintaining that person’s happiness. And that is not the truth.

Lowering your vibration to make someone else happy does a disservice to yourself–because, as Abraham states, “you are not being true to who-you-really-are.” The best thing you can give to someone is to uplift yourself and offer a demonstration of happiness coming from inside-out, rather than from outside-in.

Your partner in upliftment,

James
