Success in 12 Months: Managing Your Personal Time

scheduling personal timeWelcome back to the “Success in 12 Months” blog series! We’re now in the fourth and final week of Month 8, and the topic we’re working on together this month, which is time management.

And this week, I want to discuss managing your personal time – unless you do that, you won’t have the success at the end of the year that you’re hoping for.

Even though you’re ambitious and you’re committed to achieving great success at the end of the year, remember that true success must include a happy, well-cared for family.

If you repeatedly neglect your family for the sake of your business, the results of that will show. One way to handle personal time is to schedule time with your family as important time that can’t be switched around at the last minute.

That isn’t easy, especially as you become more successful. But it’s important to keep your eye on the prize, which is a successful life in all areas.

How many people have said, “When my business is successful, then I’ll spend time with my family” only to find out that by the time they’ve become “successful,” their family has grown up and moved out?

Don’t forget – your family time is not just for them. It’s also for your own mental and emotional well-being. And, of course, spending time with your family should be a choice, not a duty or chore. It might take a little extra effort to work it all out, but it’s worth the effort.

This week, I want you to decide how you want to allocate your personal time and commit to it.

Next week, we’ll be starting a new month and topic, and doing exercises that go along with that topic.

How are you doing? Are you making progress on the goal you chose for the program? What challenges are you experiencing? As always, I’m here for you! You can share your thoughts, concerns, and insights by leaving a comment below or by sending me an e-mail–let me know what’s going on!

Your support as you move toward success,

James
