Are You Resisting Change?

The Matter and Anti-Matter card, from the Quantum Tarot.
The Matter and Anti-Matter card, from the Quantum Tarot.

When our Tarot card for today, Matter and Anti-Matter, cuts into your day, its message is that change is afoot.

There is really only one constant in our lives, and it is that things change. Everything we ever experience, at some point, will undergo a process of change. Nothing stays the same, even when we want it to.

And that is because when something changes, the result is that something new has been created. This is a part of the constant of change. Old things fall away, so something new can take its place. It is the same with energy: energy is never eliminated; rather it is transmuted–or changed.

As human beings, we are naturally changing, and each change has us adapting to our environments, which are also changing. We say we want change, yet when we are in the process of change, we are resistant, trying to hold on to the way things were, the way they used to be. Even a change for the better can bring a certain amount of resistance.

The Matter and Anti-Matter card requires us to let go of old ideas and old situations and embrace change. So, for today, consider the things you would like to see changed in your life.

And then ask yourself what you would have to let go of—really let go of—to create those changes.

And there you will find your resistance. Your resistance to change.

Your change agent,

James
