Success in 12 Months: What Did You Learn by Being Persistent?

Welcome to the third week of Month 4 of our “Success in 12 Months” blog series. As you know, this month we’ve been talking about persistence (which we defined as the quality that allows someone to continue doing something or trying to do something even though it is difficult or opposed by other people), and its role in helping you become successful in achieving your goals.

In the first week, your exercise was to create a list of 10 times you were persistent and successful as a result.

Last week, your exercise was to list 10 times you were persistent and didn’t achieve what you wanted to accomplish.

This week, analyze the two lists you have created.  Find 5 takeaway points (lessons learned) from your experience and list them.  This might be hard, so here is an example to help you get started:

Lesson Learned:

I learned that I have failed before but was able to come back and actually ended up succeeding.

Now it’s your turn! What have you learned?

That’s it for this week. Next week, I will present your next exercise to help with persistence. In the meantime, I invite you to share with me your progress throughout your program. Share your thoughts, insights, inspirations and results with me in the comments section below, or you can send me an e-mail and let me know what’s going on.

Your partner in persistence,

James
